APPCU 2022 News Articles and Media Stories (Part 1)
The news article is all about the late Philippine Ambassador to China Jose Santiago “Chito” Sta. Romana and the special award bestowed on him by the Association for Philippines-China Understanding (APCU) and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Philippines under its Award for Promoting Philippines-China Understanding (APPCU). The Gawad Sultan Paduka Pahala Special Award is bestowed on the esteemed envoy and statesman to pay tribute to his efforts through time in strengthening friendly ties and promote mutual understanding between the Philippines and China; his efforts and relevant contributions have been instrumental in maintaining a healthy friendship and cooperative relations between China and the Philippines. His dedication to promoting people-to-people interaction by sharing his appreciation, knowledge and perception of China, and ideals in maintaining amity amid and despite disputes through diplomatic means and channels, considering that China and the Philippines share important historical roots is Sta.
